Property Type: Adaptive Reuse – Retail
Located in the post-war suburb of Edgewater, Sloan’s Lakefront Market is a creative and architecturally expressive redevelopment of a former 18,000-square-foot bowling alley. The 26,000-square-foot project included the construction of two additional retail buildings totaling 8,000 square feet and now serves as a neighborhood gathering space for the Edgewater and West Highland communities overlooking the shores of Sloan’s Lake. St. Charles executed a new market tax credit placement for the project in addition to conventional financing provided by now defunct Capmark. The project was completed in 2007 and in 2013, featured one of the first new Dunkin’ Donuts locations in the metro area.
