2500 Walnut is home to the former Benjamin Moore Paint Company property warehouse and manufacturing buildings. The first phase of the redevelopment targeted the 4-story brick warehouse fronting Broadway and Walnut streets, which was uniquely designed with oversized steel pivot windows framed with large articulated pilasters. The large warehouse was ultimately converted to 40 loft units in an innovative starburst pattern which maximized the window area for each of the 1,200-square-foot lofts. A two-story wood truss warehouse was also converted to offices for a graphic arts studio. The later phases of the mixed-income, mixed-use project included the Brunetti Lofts and Chroma Townhomes.
